Wow time goes fast...Nearly Christmas!

Baby Bug is on the move...the shop in Papakura is relocating to Pukekohe (11 Valley Heights Lane, Pukekohe) this will be at my home for a short time while I hunt for another store location!!! The shop will be open Monday - Thursday from 10 - 2 and all other times and days by appointment only!

My nana passed away last week which was very sad but made me realise that we are only here for a short time and we need to make sure we are happy and doing what we love every day...

The website is being upgraded to a new payment gateway which will be operating within the next few weeks! This makes the website very secure and your orders will be processed straight away by the bank. Also keep a look out for a few new features that will be up and running soon too!

My children are all well and have been lucky enought not to catch the aweful flu which is going around...I too have dodged that one...

Now it is spring we can finally get some much desired sun shine into our lives :) I cant wait to wear shorts and jandals...hehehe

Baby Bug has alot of new products and I will be changing some of the products on the website over the next few months so keep a watch out for all the new fantastic products to come...

Wow hasnt this year gone fast, we are half way through already! Above are my two youngest kiddies...Aaron on the left, Natasha & my nephew Jospeh...This was taken by Bianca....

Baby Bug has been so busy the shop is pumping and the website is busy too with orders going out the door at a fast pace! We are struggling to keep up but that is all the fun....

You notice a few changes to the website over the next few months with new product pages and a NEW loyalty programme...very exciting...

The shop is full of new products so if you havent been in a while you will get a suprise and if you have never been... I am sure you will be pleased!

The heater is on full at the moment with the cold weather I am trying to keep warm..

My kiddies are all well, Aaron is studying for his exams next week...Natasha is in love with her new onesy PJ's they have to go on straight after school...Now I have to hunt for some more.

In the shop I need some shelving to go up to display all the carseats and booster seats....but can I find a builder that is not busy enough to do it for me NO! so if anyone knows a builder in Papakura who is not busy to give me a call....

Well time to shut up it is nearly 4 (to cold to stay open past 4 now)

How we began...

Well I have been wondering what all this talk about Blogging is....so I investigated and here I am writing my own blog..where do I start????

In the beginning...

Baby Bug started in May 2006, I was a stay home mum and had my fair share of helping others grow their business so now it was my turn!

On with the thinking cap.

I had heard that there was money in Weddings and Babies ( I have had a few of each!) so thought I had more knowledge in Babies...so Baby Bug was born.

Baby Bug stands for the shopping bug, but with Babies!

I searched high and low for a top Web Design Company and found NZ Internet Services who have been amazing and we have grown the website over the years and now have a email management system...that is the monthly newsletter I send out to all my database in .002 seconds :)

For 3 years my house became overloaded with baby items and boxes...the kids were tripping over stuff and I didnt know when to stop working and lost the balance of family & work.

So I decided to open up a store in Papakura ( I am a born and breed in Ardmore ) so thought I would start off close to home.

I discovered the most custest little shop in Papakura it used to be an old bakery so all the walls are old brick and the floors are polished wood! So I got the brick sealed and the fun began.

Stocking the shop has been so much fun, I love organic products and make sure that all the products I source are of the best quality...

The respones from the public and my faithful customers has been great! Now they dont have to travel into Parnel or Ponsonby to get the organic products that they love!

We have been open a year this Month on the 1st and what a year it has been! More and more people know where we are now and word of mouth is our best form of advertising :)

Designer portraits have provided us with some beautiful pics for the shop and we offer a free sitting with orders over $150 which saves you $225...

Well that is how Baby Bug began and I will attempt to update my blog regulary so you can follow our journey... you are probably thinking that I have way to much time on my hands....possibly right :)

Anyway a glass of wine is calling me so....see you..
